About Dr. Tara Tiger Brown

Dr. Tara Tiger Brown is a leading researcher in forest bathing in Canada. She holds a PhD from the UBC Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Stewardship. Her research included a randomized controlled trial comparing health outcomes after guided and solo forest bathing. She specializes in the clinical application of nature-based interventions to improve mental health and cognitive function.

As a PaRx Connector, Dr. Brown provides a structured, evidence-based pathway for patients to fulfill their nature prescriptions. Her flagship program, the Sit Spot Club, is an evidence-based, step-wise, audio-guided practice. It is designed to overcome common patient barriers: not knowing what to do outdoors, feeling uncomfortable alone, and struggling to build a consistent nature habit.

How I help patients

I provide a soft landing for nature prescriptions. Through structured audio guidance and daily micro-practices, I help patients move from a clinical recommendation to a sustainable daily nature habit. The programs are accessible from anywhere.

How I help prescribers

I offer a follow-through solution for your patients. Instead of telling a patient to spend time in nature, you can refer them to a PhD-backed, structured protocol. The protocol tracks engagement and provides clear, science-based instructions.

I am available for clinical pilots and organizational partnerships with occupational therapy clinics, senior care facilities, and mental health practices.
